Change isn’t easy…but it’s often how God does His greatest work.
Arizona Baptist Retirement Centers has become LifeStream Complete Senior Living. Our Baptist Village communities are now called LifeStream at Youngtown; LifeStream at Cook Health Care; LifeStream at Sun Ridge; LifeStream at Northeast Phoenix; and LifeStream at Thunderbird.
Nearly 35 years ago, the founders of Arizona Baptist Retirement Centers and its Baptist Village communities envisioned a loving community that created a fulfilling quality of life. Their vision was based on God’s calling to create a Christian environment where seniors could experience God’s love in their lives, regardless of their physical or spiritual condition.
In my 20 years with ABRC, we’ve learned that our name often limits those who are searching for a new home. Having Baptist in the name implies that we are formally affiliated with a Baptist organization; that we cater to Baptist believers; or perhaps that you have to be Baptist to live here. It’s impossible to measure how many potential new residents don’t call Baptist Village because of the word “Baptist” in our name.
Over a year ago, we embarked on a journey to reinvigorate our organization’s brand and develop a new name that would better reflect who we are, allowing us to reach a broader group of potential residents. The result of that journey is a new name and a new look that honors our history, and insures a successful future in fulfilling our mission.
Today, our new logo helps us convey our intent to connect faith, family, and community. But despite these changes, our foundational principles and heart for our residents beats as strong as ever. Our calling from God has not changed. Our mission to care for seniors with a compassionate heart has not changed. Our Board of Directors and executive leadership have not changed.
I hope you will join with us in celebrating a new name, a new look, and a refreshed commitment to the vision and work of our founders.
