Earlier today, www.azcentral.com published an article regarding Governor Ducey’s Task Force for Long-Term Care being very close to issuing guidance for visitation at Arizona’s assisted living and skilled nursing communities. This afternoon, the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) published that very guidance in the Task Force’s recommendation entitled: COVID-19 Guidance for Visitation at Congregate Settings for Vulnerable Adults and Children.
The Task Force recommendation included specific gating criteria and conditions that each organization will be required to meet at their individual community. The Arizona Department of Health Services will be issuing corresponding regulations that will then allow us, as regulated entities, to begin the process of allowing visitors. We anticipate receiving these regulations from ADHS within the next couple of weeks. At that point we can begin finalizing our internal policies and procedures that correspond to the gated levels of re-opening and the regulations to which our communities must adhere.
We are excited to see the guidance being issued by the Governor’s Task Force and we are looking forward to once again welcoming family members back to our communities in the near future! We know our Residents are excited about this prospect as well. In the meantime, we’ll need to ask for your continued patience as we thoughtfully, and with an abundance of caution, prepare for safe and healthy visiting opportunities for you and your loved ones.
